The Hotel

The hotel sits just south of the casino wing, a short walk from the gaming floor. Check-in starts at 4:00 PM, check-out is at 11:00 AM. A resort fee is $19.99 CAD plus tax per night.

I've been to shows here, and the production quality at Woodbine Canada genuinely surprised me. The sound and lighting are top-tier, not the usual afterthought you get at a casino venue.

Before You Go

I always tell people who are coming specifically for the live tables: check the schedule before you leave. Tables run Thursday and Friday from 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from noon. I've seen people show up at 3:00 PM on a Thursday expecting blackjack and end up at an electronic table instead. It's an easy thing to miss and an annoying way to find out.
